An abstract oil painting on canvas by listed American artist Arnold Weber (1931 – 2010), created in 1966. This modern work features a conglomeration of adjacent organic and geometric shapes portrayed with vibrant matte colors and dark outlines. The work is signed and specifically dated ‘Nov. 1966’ to the lower left. It is presented in a simple wood frame.
Born in the Bronx, Arnold Weber acquired degrees from Columbia University, the New School, and the Cooper Union Art School. For four years, he served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War and attained the rank of corporeal. He then worked as a graphic artist for the Army Corps of Engineers for thirty-five years. He is particularly known for his abstract paintings often exhibiting bold forms and vibrant colors.
