Antique Royal Worcester Blush Ivory Porcelain Serveware Circa 1887-1908
Item Details
A selection of antique Royal Worcester blush ivory porcelain serveware including a claret jug, small teapot, and a sugar bowl. The designs were inspired by the Art Nouveau movement and nature displaying bright floral sprays to mottled cream ground and bamboo style handles decorated with thick gilding. The graduating jug offers a rounded spout and gilt horizontal bands creating three sections, the top-most presenting a gilt blossoming branch in relief. It bears a maker’s mark used in 1908 while the teapot bears an English registry mark placing production in 1889-90. The sugar bowl is marked with a ‘Y’ date code indicating manufacture in 1887.
