An American walnut bookcase-on-desk, mid 19th century. The two piece frame features an upper two door glass bookcase with a wide crown molding. The doors open to three adjustable height interior wood shelves. The desk features two short drawers with porcelain knobs and dovetail construction, over four turned legs. One drawer and the upper case includes a locking mechanism. The key is unavailable.

Condition

- overall with various scratches, dents, marks, and abrasions consistent with age and use; structurally stable; crack in glass on left door; nick on front edge; some loss of finish/stain on table surface from use.

- measured lower section of frame (desk); bookcase is 52" W (cornice) x 87.5" H x 10.5" D.
