Wallace "Violet" Sterling Silver Flatware

A set of vintage R. Wallace & Son sterling silver flatware in the Violet pattern. The pattern was designed by Henrik Hillbom and was produced from 1904 – 1996. The pattern features a double curved fiddle handle with a repoussé floral design with delicate violets. The set includes service for eight plus additional forks, knives and serving pieces. There are sixteen dinner forks, eight salad or dessert forks, eight seafood forks, eight tablespoons, eight soup spoons, eight iced tea spoons, six large serving spoons, three specialty spoons, two serving forks, eight dinner knives and a pastry server with stainless steel blades and eight butter knives with sterling silver blades. The backs are marked as sterling silver with the R Wallace & Sons maker’s mark. The total approximate weight is 85.325 ozt excluding items with non-sterling elements. The set is housed in a non-original wood chest with hinged lid and drawer beneath.
