In January 1952, photographer Philippe Halsman snapped this rare image of the famous Hollywood actress at the Beverly Carlton Hotel, where she often worked out. Dressed in shorts and a short-sleeved sweater, she is pictured barefoot on tiptoes while lifting dumbbells above her head.
