The pattern is designed with stylized mythical dragons in hues of green, yellow and blue influenced by the frescoes of the Italian artist, Raphael. The dragons ‘gods’ on the set symbolize good luck and the scrolls or ‘puffs of wind’ represent fair winds to seaworthy sailors as they start their merchant voyages. Included in the set are eight saucers, seven cups, one teapot, one covered sugar bowl, one covered cream pitcher and one covered bon bon dish with attached tray.
