An early 19th century oil painting on canvas by Romantic French painter Camille Joseph Etienne Roqueplan (1800/3 – 1855). The work depicts a girl sitting on the bank of a stream in a country farm landscape with the sun low on the horizon. The work is signed to the lower right and presented framed with a plaque with the artist’s name.

- to Fair; craquelure throughout; inpainting throughout particularly to the sky and along lower edges; heavy varnish over signature; relining and wax lining; cracks and discoloration throughout molding; some chips and missing molding; some abrasions to the frame; item examined out frame under black light.
