Musee Franklin Mint Swiss Brass and Mahogany Rolling Plane Clock
Item Details
A brass and mahogany inclined plane clock issued by the Musée International d’Horlogerie through the Franklin Mint. When this gold plated brass single drum clock is placed at the top of the inclined plane, it rolls during the course of approximately one week using gravity to pull against the internal movement train The face remains in an upright position with a counterbalance to maintain the correct viewing angle. The drum clock is a 24K gold plated solid brass with white face decorated with Arabic numerals, and black metal hands with Swiss movement by Arthur Imfhof. The mahogany plane is covered with a decorated leather like material, with brass plate to the side printed with days of the week. Instructions and some original paperwork are also included.
