An original acrylic painting on canvas by American artist Calvin Waller Burnett (1921-2007). The painting depicts two nude women in tones of blue, beige and brown. The work is signed to the middle Burnett and presented beneath glass in a simple wooden frame with a wire to the verso. Calvin Waller Burnett received a Masters Degree in Fine Arts from Boston University and was an art Professor for thirty-three years at the Massachusetts College of Art. His work can be found at the Smithsonian, the Museum of Fine Arts, the Museum of African-American History and the Boston Public Library.
