This attractive Seth Thomas mantel clock, The Legacy 3W, has Roman numerals on the face with cherubs at each corner. It can be set to chime or be silent. The front glass door opens in order to wind the clock. The back opens to reveal the works which are embossed ‘made in Germany for Seth Thomas, A Talley Industries Co, Thomaston, Conn, USA. A403-001, Two Jewels, 7713, unadjusted.’ The printed label on the back door is dated 12-1-77. In perfect working condition.
In 1956, Seth Thomas discontinued manufacturing the No. 124 movement and began importing Hermle chime clock movements from Germany. Hermle is still making clock movements today.
