Ray Harm Offset Lithograph "Raccoon"

An offset lithograph titled Raccoon by wildlife artist Ray Harm (American, b. 1926-2015). Marked Print No. 407, Raccoon Procyon Lotor depicts four raccoons in various activities on a branch. It is double signed ‘Ray Harm.’ The offset lithograph is marked ‘by permission by Mr. Wood Hannah, Sr.’ It is presented under glass with gray and off-white mats, in a painted wood distressed frame with a gold tone interior edge.

Harm was a noted wildlife artist who primarily painted birds. He and Wood Hannah, businessman and art collector, are noted for creating the idea of making limited edition art prints and thus the art print movement. Harm’s art is based on his own sketches from observing wildlife.
