C. 1960s Ibanez Maxitone Electric Guitar and Case

A circa 1960s Teisco or Guyatone for Ibanez Maxitone electric guitar and case. Both Teisco and Guyatone were manufacturing these guitars for Ibanez in the 1960s. This Japanese made solid body guitar features a brown sunburst finish with faux tortoiseshell pickguard; three pickups; a whammy bar; three tone and volume control knobs; four pickup selector toggle switches; a rosewood fingerboard with dot inlay; and a Maxitone decal to the headstock. It is stored in an off-white chipboard case which is marked ‘Japan’ to the exterior near the handle.

Condition

- chips and loss to the finish on the body; some scratches; some discoloration and oxidation; wear to the case; untested.
