A 1971 Marj Teague floral still life. The vintage oil on board painting depicts a black vase of flowers in palette of rose, red, peach, tan, white and greens. The textured field is orange and gold. The painting is artist signed and dated to lower right. It is presented in decorative gesso on wood frame with ochre velvet liner. It has a wire to the verso, ready to hang. Marj Teague (American, c.1934 – ) (Marjorie Lemley Teague) began painting in the 1960s in Williamstown, West Virginia and retired from the profession in 2011. She also owned a gallery at this location.
