An offset lithograph on paper titled The Red Room (Harmony in Red) after well-listed French Modern artist Henri Matisse (1869 – 1954). This fauvist modern work depicts a woman setting a table in a vibrantly colored room with red wallpaper and tablecloth with a flower and vine pattern with a garden visible through the window to the left. The piece is signed in plate to the lower left and dated ‘1908.’ It is presented behind a red layered mat, behind glass, in a gold tone wooden frame with a hanging wire and printed label from the Hermitage Museum in Russia to the verso.
Condition
- chip in glass in the upper left; nicks and scratches to frame.
