An original acrylic painting on panel by contemporary American artist Steve Keene (New York, born 1957), titled Lincoln. The painting depicts a portrait of framed American president Abraham Lincoln, painted in loose strokes of gray, black, and purple paint. The painting is titled in orange paint to its each edge, and is initialed and numbered “52218” to the left margin. It is presented without matting or framing, awaiting your choice of presentation. Holes have been punched through the board where a hanging wire is strung.

Keene is known for creating massive amounts of small, quickly-painted works which he sells in unexpected venues, gaining him the title of the “Assembly-Line Picasso.” More information about the artist can be found below under Additional Information.
