Ruthven (Cincinnati; born 1924), titled California Valley Quail, a plate from the artist’s Homestead Series. The image depicts quail parents caring for their two chicks, perched among the branches of a tree. Artist’s signature is signed in pencil and in plate to the lower right and edition is numbered 35/950 in pencil to the lower left. Presented unframed.
