Haeger Signed Sebastiano Maglio Master Art Pottery
Item Details
A collection of vases by Haeger pottery, three made by Haeger’s Sebastiano Maglio (Italian, 1934 – ), master potter for the company during the period 1963 until 1995. From time to time, he would create original hand thrown designs for Haeger. Two are marked with the potter’s signature and ‘N-14’ and one is signed and marked ‘7’. Each features a glossy, high fired drip and applied glaze in copper reds, ivory, coffee and burnt orange in vase forms. A fourth Haeger vase has a semi-matte coffee mottled glaze on a taper form with flared rim. This vase carries a Haeger labels and is marked ‘Will not hold water’.
