Panama–Pacific commemorative coins were produced in 1915 in connection with Panama-Pacific International Exposition in San Francisco. The obverse of the coin designed by Charles Barber is considered aesthetically pleasing depicting the figure of Columbia scattering flowers from a cornucopia held by a cherub.
