A cast bronze sculpture by American artist and Holocaust survivor, Alfred Tibor (1920 – 2017), depicting a woman with arm raised looking into the distance while her dress blows in the wind. This golden hued piece is hand signed ‘A. Tibor’ to lower and is numbered 11/75. It rests on a black finished geometric shaped wood base.
Originally from Hungary, Alfred Tibor came to the United States in 1957. He settled in Columbus, Ohio sixteen years later, where he became a full-time, self-taught sculptor. He was a prolific artist most well-known for his bronze sculptures commemorating the Holocaust.
