Robert H. Whitmore was a painter, printmaker and draughtsman born in Dayton, Ohio on February 22, 1890. Whitmore studied at the Art Institute of Chicago and the Cincinnati Art Academy, deriving his impressionistic style from the artistic movement of the time.
