Item Details
An antique cherry Jackson press, probably Tennessee, mid 19th century. The case features a rectangular, two-board top above two aligned and dovetailed, frieze drawers over a pair of paneled doors. The fronts are fitted with molded, glass knobs and inset, brass escutcheons before poplar linings while the doors open to a two-shelf interior. The Jackson press rises on short, turned legs ending in wooden casters.
