A vintage oil painting on canvas board by Illinois artist Christl Hansen (1924-2007). This piece depicts a young child lying on the floor and playing with a toy car. It is painted with soft, expressive brushwork and signed to the lower left. It is presented in a painted wood frame with gesso molded texture and wire to the verso for hanging.

Condition

- to Fair; foxing throughout right side of painting and on right side of frame; wear to paint and gesso decoration along edges of frame; discoloration and foxing present throughout verso of ground; ground ripped on verso at lower left side by the stretcher.
