Hand-Knotted Sino-Persian Wool and Silk Accent Rug
Item Details
A hand-knotted Sino-Persian wool and silk accent rug. This rug is rendered in a palette of cranberry, powder blue, black, ivory, apricot, cornsilk, and walnut. The cranberry colored field begins with a lobed double pendant medallion, and it features purling vine-work of palmettes and floral motifs throughout. The field also features powder blue grounded spandrels with leaf designed edges, and a floral theme. Framing the field is a black hued main over stylized herati pattern, as well as a pair of floral meander guard borders. Finishing this rug are overcast selvedges and a long silk warp fringe to the ends. This rug is unlabeled.
