T. Sutherland Engraving After Henry Alken "Full Cry" and "The Death"

A pair of hand-colored engravings on paper titled Full Cry and The Death by T. Sutherland after English artist Henry Thomas Alken (1785-1851). These prints each depict an English sport hunting scene in the countryside with large groups of men on horseback in red coats and groups of dogs at their feet. They are titled to the lower center and have artist’s named printed to the lower corners. Each print is presented behind a mat and glass in a wood frame with wire to the verso for hanging.

Condition

- image paper is discolored with accretion and stains; nicks and scratches around the frame.
