A German majolica tobacco jar by Marzi and Remy. The stoneware container has been glazed in gray brown and has a lid with a knop. This piece features a narrative scene of Susanna and the Elders in relief based on medieval woodcuts. The bottom of the container is marked ‘608’, illegible numbers, and the Marz & Remy stamp.
