A selection of three hand-painted majolica earthenware plates. Featured are two vintage Highmount plates with molded bird motifs depicting songbirds on berry branches to the light blue ground ending in a scroll border. They bear impressed style marks to the undersides and read ‘made in Western Germany.’ The antique plate presents a floral and leaf design in red, green, and brown with egg accents leading to a beaded border and a basket weave verge in light blue. It bears no visible maker’s mark which is typical of wares produced before 1891.
