An early 20th-century limited edition color lithograph on paper created by artist Gustave Henri Marchetti (French; born 1873). The piece depicts a nocturnal European village landscape, set against starry skies and distant mountains. A young couple to the foreground stop to talk on a rustic stone and wood bridge over a quiet blue river. The print is signed ‘G. Marchetti’ in pencil to the lower right and numbered to the lower left as 21 out of an edition of 300. It is matted in cream and presented under glass in a wooden frame fitted with hanging wire to the verso. The frame backing is marked with a mid-century framer’s sticker from Harry H. Hamilton of Hoopeston, Illinois.
