An oil painting on canvas by well-listed American artist William A. Slaughter (1923-2003). This landscape painting depicts a large open field with scattered patches of bluebonnet flowers and sparse trees under a bright midday sky with fluffy white clouds. It is signed to the lower right and presented in a painted gold tone and green wood frame with a fabric liner and wire to the verso for hanging. There is an additional signature and inscription, ‘Best Regards’, to the verso in graphite.
