A Ridgeway Grandfather clock. A Federal style clock with a cherry finish and a swan neck pediment with a double urn finial and a pierced brass band on the crest with burl fruitwood overlays. The case has a glass front door on the top that is flanked with reeded side columns and displays a brass dial with ornate raised spandrels surrounding a gold-tone dial. The dial has raised brass Arabic numbers and serpentine hands with a blue and gold tone moon phase dial. The clock has glass side panels and a glass front door on the waist with reeded side columns and displays a polished brass lyre pendulum with an embossed decorative design. Other featurers of the clock include an 8-day time and strike movement and the clock stands on a burl wood base with bracket feet. The clock is marked ‘Ridgeway’ on the face.
