Tiffany & Co. Private Stock Porcelain Plates
Item Details
A set of eleven Tiffany & Co. Private Stock porcelain tableware, including salad plates and bread and butter plates. The plates are hand-painted and were decorated by the Le Tallec firm in Paris, France, after entering a partnership with Tiffany & Co. in 1961. The pattern displays a central medallion on a white field with yellow borders decorated with red flowers and green leaf motifs, and gilt trim. The undersides are marked ‘Tiffany & Co. Private Stock Hand Painted Made in France’, while also bearing a blue Sevres style mark. This mark exhibits the Le Tallec atelier painter’s initials ‘SHF’, and was likely designed specifically for a private client.
