A circa 1864 steel engraving portrait of Abraham Lincoln, engraved by Frederick Halpin (New Jersey, 1805 – 1880) after an original portrait by listed New York artist Francis Bicknell Carpenter (1830 – 1900). This print depicts a bust length portrait of Lincoln, in three-quarter view and posed to the right. The names of the subject, artist and engraver are printed across the lower edge. This piece is mounted to a heavy paper backing, and is covered with protective plastic.
