A watercolor painting on paper by Massachusetts artist Gracia P. Dayton. This piece depicts a cityscape view over a river, painted in bright, exaggerated color with loose black outlines. It is signed to the lower left and presented behind a double mat and glass in a silver tone metal frame with wire to the verso for hanging.

Gracia Dayton earned her BS in Art Education at Skidmore College and has continued her formal art training at Boston University, The DeCordova Museum School, Bennington College, and San Francisco State. She has also held the previous position of president of the New England Watercolor Society and is a Gold Medal recipient from the same organization. Gracia now paints and teaches at her Lexington, Massachusetts and Catskill Mountain studios.
