An unfinished watercolor on paper by well-listed Cincinnati artist Frank McElwain (born 1942). This piece depicts a historic street scene, featuring a horse-drawn trolley traveling down a shop-lined street. The upper half of the composition is painted with washes of watercolor while the lower half remains a pencil sketch with several areas covered in masking medium. This work is signed in pencil to the lower right. It is presented behind a beige linen liner, under glass, in a gold tone wood frame and is ready to hang with a wire.
