A pair of hand-painted ceramic candlesticks from Portugal. The design incorporates integrated bobeches, molded leaf forms, shell shapes, and small curved feet. The pieces have been decorated in blue and white and feature delicately painted floral sprays. They are marked on the undersides in underglaze blue, ‘Vestal//Hand Painted/Alcobaca/Portugal/1088.D.B.’ and ‘2944-6’ in ink.
