A cast bronze-tone Grand Tour metal sculpture of the Crouching Venuson an alabaster base. This piece, cast in base metal, depicts a Classical style female figure of the goddess Venus. She is nude and kneeling, a seashell underneath her for support, and has her arms crossed over her breasts. There are protective felt dots to the underside and no maker’s marks.
