A wood engraving on paper titled Three Graces, by Scottish artist Iain Macnab (1890-1967), created in 1948. This black and white composition features Venus standing with her Three Graces seated around her. The work is unsigned and a descriptive label from Blond Fine Art Limited is adhered to the mat verso. It is presented between two layers of off-white matting and remains unframed.

Artist Iain McNab was the founding principal of the Grosvenor School of Modern Art, where artists Cyril Powers and Sybil Andrews also taught. He studied at the Glasgow School of Art and Heatherley’s School of Art, where he later served as principal. His work has been collected by various institutions including the British Museum, the Victoria and Albert Museum, and the Ashmolean Museum, among others.
