Antique Northern European Chest of Drawers

An antique Northern European chest of drawers, mid 19th century, either German or Swedish, in mahogany. This piece features a raised top over trim molding, bookmatched, crotch veneers with escutcheons, rope molding on top drawer, which features lidded compartments for hats; the drawers are dovetailed by hand and split spindle stile applied moldings adorn the piece as well. The piece rises on bracket feet.

Condition

- has some wear and scuffs to the finish; applied molding has loss; veneer has chipping and loss.
