A color lithograph poster for a 1966 Henri Matisse Retrospective Exhibition at the Art Institute of Chicago. This gallery poster features Matisse’s 1953 mixed media work La Gerbe, or ‘The Sheaf’, which depicts a colorful arrangement of stylized leaf-like forms. The image is initialed in-plate by Matisse in the lower right corner. It is presented under glass in a silver tone wood frame with a hanging wire mounted to the verso.
