A limited edition offset lithograph on paper titled Aus der Edition Friendship by well-listed artist Maria Lassnig, dated 2008. The work is editioned, signed, and dated by the artist to the lower margin in graphite.

Maria Lassnig was known for her self-portraits and theory of ‘body consciousness.’ This body awareness resulted in the artist painting parts of her body she felt “worked.” This often resulted in segmented, cropped forms and unnatural colors. During World War II, the artist received her formal training from the Academy of Fine Arts in Vienna. Throughout her late career, she began to exhibit locally in Vienna. Today, her works are housed in private and public collections, including the Museum of Modern Art.
