Vintage Chippendale Style Secretary Bookcase
Item Details
A vintage Chippendale style mahogany secretary bookcase. The bookcase has a broken pediment bonnet with urn finial to the center, double glass-paned doors with chinoiserie-inspired geometric mullion overlays, and to the bookcase interior, two wood shelves. The secretary base features an angled hinged door panel and to the inside back, storage and organizational cubbies and drawers. Below are three stacked full width dove-tailed drawers in a serpentine shape with raised border trim and dark brass bale pulls with batwing back plates. The cabinet has flat panel sides and to the front, scrolled cabriole legs terminating in ball and claw feet.
