A set of Tuxedo bone china dinnerware designed by Charles Gwathmey and Robert Siegel. This set includes a dinner plate, a teacup, and a saucer, which feature a minimalist geometric design rendered in black and white.
Famed architect Charles Gwathmey was born in Charlotte, North Carolina and is known for his geometric-inspired modernist architecture and design. He studied at the University of Pennsylvania and Yale University and founded the Gwathmey Siegel & Associates architecture firm. Gwathney’s notable achievements include the design for Astor Place condominiums and the addition to the Guggenheim Museum in New York. Gwathmey has also done personal home designs for Faye Dunaway, Jerry Seinfeld, and Steven Spielberg.
Robert H. Siegel is a famed New York City architect and is one of the founding partners of Gwathmey Siegel & Associates. He graduated from Harvard University and the Pratt Institute. Siegel’s notable achievements include Morgan Stanley’s headquarters and the U.S. Mission to the United Nations.
