A circa 1970s oil painting on canvas by listed artist Georges De Marco (French, 1906 – 1990). The still life piece depicts a colorful floral arrangement set against a teal wall, with red, yellow and pink flowers illuminated with beams of light that stream from the upper right corner. The work is signed ‘G De Marco’ to the lower right. It is presented without glass in a silver tone wooden frame with cream canvas liner. To the verso is a hanging wire, as well as a label with artist information.
Condition
- to fair; wear and craquelure throughout composition, especially to lower portion of canvas; discoloration to linen liner and fillet; edge wear, scratches, scuffs and discoloration to frame; no backing paper present.
