A circa 1950 woodblock print on rice paper titled Amanohashidate (天橋立) by Japanese artist Bisen Fukuda (福田 眉仙, 1875 – 1963). This print depicts two men carrying a woman in a litter, as they walk along a wooded path overlooking a small harbor side village. This work titled and signed in-block in the upper left corner alongside two red seals. It is presented behind a cream mat with a blue liner, under glass, in a stained wood frame and is ready to hang with a wire.
Condition
- toning and foxing to print. Accretion to print to upper left. Minor wear to finish of frame.
