"K80 Profile" Desk by John Van Koert for Drexel
Item Details
A Mid Century Modern Profile ‘K80’ desk by John Van Koert for Drexel, produced 1955-61. This veneered piece has a low back shelf over sliding panel doors that open to divided storage, in front of the lined work surface. Under the projected lip is a left side drawer block on tapered legs, while the right side has tapered legs; the back legs are joined by a tapered stretcher. The left side has a shallow writing surface, box drawer, and file drawer with angled dividers, while the right side has a wide, shallow drawer; all the drawers have silver metal teardrop knobs. The back shelf and drawer block follow the curve of the lip. The Drexel marks are inside the right side drawer.
