An early 20th-century etching on paper titled Ferdinandsbrücke, Wien created by listed artist Marie Adler (Austrian, 1863 – 1947). The piece depicts Vienna’s historic Ferdinand bridge, rendered in expressive black and grey lines against a cream ground. The print is signed in graphite to the lower right and titled to the lower left. It is presented under glass in a black wooden frame fitted with a small hanging loop to the verso.
Condition
- slight warping to paper; large stain to print at lower left; foxing, marks, toning and discoloration to print; scratches and wear to frame; marks and accretion to glass; frame backing is stained and slightly loose.
