A watercolor painting on paper signed ‘Rankin’. This piece depicts a stable in a field of long grass, a wooden fence in front of it that has been broken and worn down. It is painted with splashed washes of color, sprays of paint, and dry-brushed texture. The piece is signed to the lower left and presented behind a double mat and glass in a wood frame with wire to the verso for hanging.

- discoloration to mat to lower right; minor nicks and wear to frame.
