Norgwegian Folk Art Trinket Boxes
Item Details
A pair of vintage Norwegian folk art trinket boxes. This selection of two decorative wooden boxes features traditional Norwegian rosemaling, or hand-painted stylized floral motifs, to the lids and sides. Included is an oval shaped box with a removable lid in cornflower, gold, rust, white, and tangerine. The underside is stamped with an illegible maker’s mark. Also offered is a miniature chest with a hinged list in tones of cinnamon, forest green, gold, umber, and cornflower blue. It bears a sticker to the verso reading ‘Made in Norway, Hus-flid’.
