A signed, oil painting on copper by Austrian artist Otto van Thoren (1828 – 1889). This piece depicts a pair of figures walking in a wooded landscape towards a castle in the distance and is signed by hand to the lower left. Mounted under a gold tone and cream matting with a raised floral design, the painting is presented in a gold tone wood frame with a black stand present to the verso for displaying purposes.

Condition

- nicks to painting; item and glass loose in frame; abrasions and wear to frame.
