A George Steck grand piano. Design details include a flame mahogany finish, carved leaves and scrollwork to the frame and heavily carved legs with acanthus leaf detailing over tapered, fluted columns that terminate on bun feet with castors. It has a concealed music rack and is marked ‘George Steck Paris New York London’ in gilt to the fall board. Included is a bench with a hinged lid seat over cabriole legs that terminate on club feet. This piece is marked ‘Patented June 20 1871.Oct.21 1873.’
