Antique Blanket Chest

Item Details

An antique wood blanket chest. The chest has an overhung top, and the corners feature visible hand-dovetailed joinery. It has reeded trim on the base, with scrolled bracket feet. The interior has a small compartment at the left side. No maker’s mark.

Condition

- hinges have been replaced; nailed-on metal patches in areas; surface marks, discoloration, scratches, dings, scuffs throughout; cracks to wood on top.
